Chinese websites Apple Daily and Apple Pro are reporting that they have managed to secure images of the iPad 3 and have published them along with comparisons with the current iPad 2 and older iPad.The leaked images show what is claimed to be the rear of the iPad 3, and from what we can see the overall design is very similar to the current iPad 2 albeit with a more tapered shape.
The only other difference is the size of the rear camera on the purported iPad 3, which has a much larger lens than the iPad 2. Hopefully that larger lens is protecting the same 8 mega-pixel Sony unit as the iPhone 4S is currently using.
Other than the shape and the larger lens, the images don’t give away much more other than the rather disappointing revelation that the new iPad 3 looks to be lacking a rear LED flash!
