Here’s how to delete your old junk apps and save space. The iPad and iPad 2 both come with flash memory of either 16GB, 32GB or 64GB, while this is usually enough for most people some of us tend to fill up on junk apps that we never use thus decreasing the memory available!

Luckily Apple made deleting apps on iOS (this will work on any iOS device from iPad to iPod) and is a quick and painless process.

Important note!

Remember if your apps have been download via the App store either on your iPad or through iTunes, your app purchases Free or paid for will always be available to you even if you delete them from your device.

Instructions how to delete apps on iOS

First of all choose the apps you want to get rid of. Probably the ones you never use, or perhaps games that you have since completed.

Press on the app icon until it begins to shake,

When the icon starts shaking a black circle with white ‘X’ will appear. Tap this and a message will pop us asking if you want to delete the app, choose ‘yes’.

Done!

In this case the iOS device in question is the iPad 3!These photos claim to be of official documents and the plane which is has sent the first batch of iPad 3 Apple tablets to the US for launch, which must be within weeks!

The photos were first posted by Chinese user on Weibo who claimed the iPad 3′s have made their way from Foxconn to Chengdu airport in China, where they have been flown to the United States!

“Our company started undertake a load of top-secured cargo. The owner has extreme requirements for the security. In order to prevent the cargo from being dragged on the airport ramp for too long, as well as shortening the time the cargo stay on the airport ramp, we hereby require XXXX to schedule all the XXX cargo planes from Feb. 26 to Mar. 9. to XXX slot.”

This obviously points to a launch date pretty close to now for the iPad 3, but reports also claim that Apple will be launching 2 new iOS devices within this month, the second could very well be a new and improved Apple TV with 1080 playback and Bluetooth 4.o!

Last but not least it seems that the iPad 2 will be continued when the new iPad 3 is launched but will only be available in 16GB but with a lower price tag, much like how the 8GB iPhone 4 is on sale now!

Cydia is going to bring a whole new world of add-ons and custom themes to you, but the default sources in Cydia only add a little to the grand scheme of things! Follow this simple tutorial to add additional sources to Cydia!

What are Cydia Sources?

Cydia is the official app and hack store for Jailbroken iOS devices. Through Cydia, users of Jailbroken devices can add more functions, hacks and themes (plus much more) to their iPad’s and iPhone’s.

As default Cydia comes with only a select few sources of downloads, and while they may be enough to start with you will soon find that you will want to add more.

How to Add Sources To Cydia Instructions

Adding a source or ‘repo’ to Cydia is very simple, and once you find the source you want to add all you need to do is:

Open Cydia by tapping the Cydia App icon, if you don’t have Cydia you will need to Jailbreak your iOS device. Follow our instructions here to Jailbreak iPad or iPhone.

When Cydia opens you will find 4 options along the bottom of the screen. Tap on ‘Manage’.

Now choose ‘Sources’.

In the top right of the screen you will see an ‘edit’ button. Tap ‘edit’ then on the left tap ‘add’.

A box will now pop up asking you to enter the Cydia/APT URL.

Add your repo which usually either start as repo. or cydia. then tap ‘add source’

Cydia will now update and download a list of packages available from your new Cydia source.

Finished!

If you know of any great Cydia sources or Repo’s please feel free to add them to the comments section below!

Keep reading to find out how you can change your iPad’s wallpaper.

Before you start changing your iPad wallpaper you are going to want to make sure you have some great images to choose from.

Apple have done a good job of adding some nice clear iPad wallpapers in to iOS, but we’re sure you can find better either by browsing the web or taking a photo with the iPad’s built in camera (if you have an iPad 2 that is).

Instructions how to change wallpaper on iPad

To change the wallpaper on your iPad, or even to change the wall paper on your iPod or iPhone follow the following simple steps!

From your iPad’s home screen tap the ‘Settings’ App.

Under settings you will find a sub menu called “Brightness & Wallpaper” press this.

You will now have controls for your brightness and also two images of your iPad background wallpaper. The image on the left should be your lock screen image and the one on your right is the background for your home screen.

Choose which you would like to change, lock screen our background.

You can now select where you want to choose your new background image from. Either the preset Apple wallpapers, Saved Photos, Photo Stream or Camera Roll.

Once in the album choose the image you would like as an iPad wallpaper by tapping on it. A set of options will show on the right of image. “Set Lock Screen” “Set Home Screen” or “Set Both”

Now that you have set your wallpaper either go through the process again and set your Lock Sreen wallpaper, or head out of the menus and enjoy the nice new view!

We hope you find these instructions useful! Keep posted for more great iPad, iPad 2 and iOS Tablet how to articles!

Reports are suggesting that Apple are planning to reduce the size of the 30 pin connector, which is used to both transfer data and charge iDevices and could be planning to do so as early as March with the iPad 3.

If this tuns out to be true the iPad 3 could be the first iOS device to get a new and improve Magsafe dock connector, which would add a little extra safety to your expensive iOS tablet well charging.

Magsafe chargers are currently in use on all Apple Macbook Pros and Macbook Airs. The Magsafe charger connects to the Apple laptops with magnets meaning that if someone were to trip over the wire while charging there would be much less chance of your expensive device smashing on the ground.

This latest ‘confirmation’ comes in the form of yet another iPad Retina display having been discovered, but this time by trusted source iFixit.

iFixit, the Mac and iOS repair company, have a long history of discovering future Apple components leading to tip us off as to what Apple is planning, so while they may not be the first to find an iPad 3 Retina display they are one of the more trusted sources.

What they discovered, just as others have before them, that the new iPad screen (if it is actually the new iPad’s screen that is) has 4 times as many pixels when compared to the current iPad 2 screen (which is also the same screen as the original iPad).

The video below shows how and what iFixit found out about the new Retina iPad screen.

So is this final and definitive proof that the next generation iPad will get a Retina display? Will the new iPad be an iPad 2S or iPad 3, or will Apple do a double whammy and launch 2 new iPad’s this March?

Let us know what you think below!

According to sources in China, the iPad 3 (or iPad 2S) release date has been penned in to Apple’s diary for mid March in the USA, which is a little later than the 7th of March launch date we have heard elsewhere.

France, Germany, Japan and the UK should also expect the new iPad to arrive on during March, while Apple fans in China and Hong Kong may have to wait until June 1st for the next iPad.

The latest news which comes from Gizchina via Slashgear, is that a Chinese tipster has leaked more specification details of the upcoming next generation iPad, and while there are some worthy updates there is nothing to spell out an all new iPad 3.

The Chinese tipster, source here, claims to know that the next iPad’s Apple A5X chip is in actual fact a dual core unit which runs faster than the current A5, and that a quad core A6 is still in the works.

Other details from the source also claim that the new iPad, possibly the iPad 2S, will have a camera capable of recoding 1080p video, and will come preinstalled with Siri.

While all of these upgrades are worthwhile additions, these plus the design of the leaked case which is nothing more than a fatter iPad 2 body, add up to make an iPad 2S tablet rather than all new iPad 3 device.

What do you think? Let us know in the comments section below.
